Thanks for the review. I agree, he wasn't a particularly impressive young man, either in my novel or the contemporary sources, but he has an amazing arc, more so than even the fictional Silus. It's always difficult to know where to start a novel of someone's life, and perhaps Alesia, where this first book ends, would have been a nice dramatic beginning. But his early life is rich, even if he himself has not yet developed into the hero he will become, and I also wanted to show the years leading up to the fall of the Roman Republic in order that readers can understand how Mark Antony rose so high. I hope you read on in the series, would love to hear your thoughts on his character development. Spoiler - he is at his very best when everything is going horrible wrong!

I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
